You know, because I can't do all that myself. Too many crazy ideas, too little knowledge. Dangerous. I would totally by a robotic car. It's not putting me out of business as a driver, it's freeing my time up for something else. Why should I have to pay attention to which route to take when they've closed all the direct routes from my home to my place of employment??? In Minority Report, the director said he envisioned a world where people only drove manually for recreation.  I kinda like that thought. As for your drunk driver scenario, that would definitely be a good idea. Too many people drive drunk and far too many people die needlessly because of drunk drivers. I think for right now, more money needs to be focused on more fuel-efficient cars, alternative fuel for cars, and convincing the public that SUVs aren't cool Interesting thoughts.
