i was please with nemesis but admittedly i had to watch it a few times to appreiate it fully, i knew that a main charcter was going to die but i want sure who, and i was shocked and left feeling lost after i came out of the cinema, couldn't they have killed jordie or beverly instead? lol i thought the story line in nemesis could have been made more clear and slightly better, but in good trek tradition the battles were great and the special effects were awesome, i love the enterprise-e i think its the best ship that trek has ever produced, back with more phasers, and kick ass attidude. I hope they come back for an 11th film with more enterprise kicking butt (man i love space battles and nemesis gave a great one) and a thrilling story to bring back data and possibly say good bye to the much loved cast and to pave the way for a voyager movie. As nemesis showed, the tng cast are getting on abit thats one of the reasons they say they killed data off he dosn't look like he did 15 years ago well they should have thought of that when they started tng! well im a huge fan and in great maritime tradtion live long and prosper

ps Heres my favorite tng films in order from best to not so great, insurection (so funny and loved the story and the riker manuver was cool) first contact(gotta love the borg and picards revenge thing +first appearnce of E and a fleet in battle!) then its nemesis (first trek film with a car chase brilliant!+ big battle scene) and generations (well we said goodbye to the lengend kirk to pave the way for 3 more great films and not to mention the "oh sh*t" by data as the enterprise-d crashed onto the planet that was the highlight of the film, still good all the way)

Karl's wrong. The Enterprise-E wasn't designed to fight the Borg, the Defiant was.

But you're correct that it was more militant than the TV show. I think a lot of that has to do with the Dominion War. The Enterprise E itself was built at the beginning of the Dominion War. And there was a lot of new technology that came out of that war. Shields went from being bubbles around the ship, to being skin tight (you can see that in Nemesis), quantum torpedos, better phasers, ablative armor, and anti-cloak sensors were all created during the war. And lots of cool new ship designs. I just think these last 3 movies reflect that war.

Okay, yeah. I'm a big dork.

It takes a big man to admit he knows stuff about Star Trek, and a bigger man to laugh at that man.

Just kidding. ;) Don't be ashamed, man. =P

I'm a Star Trek fan, and proud of it!

I had heard about the "Death of Data" despite my attempt to not find out anything about the movie before it came out, so I tried to prepare myself for it. Even though, I experienced the same emotion as Adam. The end of the movie made me feel better though, as the inquisitiveness of B4 (that was his name, right?) reminded me of the Data from the first two years of TNG, and me feel as though things wouldn't be so bad, that there still might be hope....

"Okay, yeah. I'm a big dork"

Nemesis is a cool movie, shame about data dieing and riker leaving would have like to see them all in another movie together

the movie was very military based but this represents the war and starfleets new look, as for the ente e being built to fight the borg, it's design was created for the purpose as was the defiants and all the new ships we saw in first contact, thats y it has so many weapons on board
the new sheilds were cool :D

anyway overall great movie, must get it on dvd
